Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

This Modern Slavery Statement is published in accordance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It outlines the actions taken by City Locums, a UK-based provider of insourcing and agency staffing solutions, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains.

Our Business

At City Locums, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and social responsibility. We deliver workforce solutions through both insourcing arrangements and agency staffing, supporting healthcare and public sector clients across the UK. We ensure our operations remain compliant with relevant legislation and that we uphold the dignity and rights of all individuals involved in our services.

Our Supply Chains

Although our core activities are based in the United Kingdom, we understand that our supply chain may span internationally. As such, we engage only with suppliers and partners who demonstrate a clear commitment to ethical conduct, including full compliance with laws prohibiting forced labour, servitude, and human trafficking.

Our Policies

City Locums adopts a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in all its forms. Our internal policies and practices are designed to support this stance and include the following key measures:

Supplier Code of Conduct All suppliers and partners are required to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct, which strictly prohibits the use of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour, child labour, and any other practices linked to human trafficking. Supplier Due Diligence We undertake due diligence processes when onboarding and reviewing suppliers, assessing their commitment to ethical practices and human rights protections. Employee Awareness and Training Our staff receive training to help them identify signs of modern slavery and human trafficking. This empowers them to act responsibly and in accordance with our ethical standards. Whistleblowing Mechanism We maintain a confidential whistleblowing policy that allows employees, suppliers, and third parties to report concerns relating to unethical or illegal behaviour, including modern slavery, without fear of retaliation.

Our Actions

Beyond policy implementation, City Locums actively works to prevent and respond to risks associated with modern slavery through the following measures:

Risk Assessment and Management We routinely assess our operations and supply chains to identify and address any potential exposure to modern slavery risks. Industry Collaboration We collaborate with industry bodies, regulators, and relevant non-governmental organisations to stay aligned with current best practices and contribute to sector-wide efforts to combat modern slavery. Continuous Review and Improvement We regularly review and strengthen our policies, supplier management processes, and staff training to ensure ongoing effectiveness in tackling modern slavery and human trafficking risks.

Commitment

City Locums is fully committed to preventing modern slavery in every aspect of our business. Through continued vigilance, stakeholder engagement, and a culture of accountability, we aim to foster ethical practices throughout our organisation and beyond.

This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors and will be reviewed and updated annually to reflect our ongoing commitment to eradicating modern slavery.

Signed on behalf of City Locums.
